“This life is for Giving” was the anthem with which Mr GK Swami started the Purkul Youth Development Society (PYDS) – a school for underprivileged children from villages of Purkul, surrounding areas and around the school’s bus routes in dehradun. They also took in some children from remote disaster hit hill areas of Uttarakhand. What started as tuition classes metamorphosed as a school in 2008.

Before Mr. Swami passed away he found and mentored his successor Mr Anoop Seth. PYDS is Anoop Seth’s raison d’être. Tirelessly he has worked to take his mentor’s legacy forward. He lives and breathes work as PYDS Secretary and Director committed to providing high quality education to the most underprivileged children (predominantly girls) in CBSE affiliated education from class 1-12 providing holistic care academics, nutrition,
